Jayden loves to play Simon Says with Mommy and Daddy. This is just one of the many things Daddy has taught him to do. Daddy often stands with his arms crossed over his chest and Jayden imitated him. Daddy caught on and they've been playing for a couple of weeks. I enjoy the game as well and Jayden just loves it. He likes to be the leader though. Sometimes, I take the lead and he follows once or twice, but then he realizes he is no longer in charge and stops. He usually starts the game by raising both arms over his head. Then, he puts his hands in front of him, as if he were praying. He puts his arms behind his back. Then he claps and after this, he gets stuck. This is where I try to take the lead. I try to bend over and touch my knees. I got him to do it once. A couple of days ago, I stood on one leg and he did it too. He was so cute. I’m always amazed with him and how smart he is.

38 Weeks and Still Pregnant? Are You Kidding Me?
Ok, I am 38 weeks pregnant and I thought for sure this baby would be here already, all on her own. I’ve got 2 weeks to go and I’m starting to feel like I’ll be pregnant for the whole two weeks. The hospital bag is now packed and sitting in the corner waiting to go. It’s funny how much stuff I brought to the hospital with me for Jayden that I never even used. There was a ton of other stuff I needed and didn’t even bring with me. This time, I tried to be a little smarter with my packing. All the shower gifts are organized and put away. I only had a few items to exchange and that’s all done now. Jayden is sleeping in his big boy bed. I almost want to get the crib ready for the baby, but she won’t use it for another few months so I’ll wait on that. I have a second changing station set up in my room. The bassinet is loaded with diapers, burp clothes, sheets, etc. We are just waiting on our baby to be here, safe and sound.
Now for my stats! My weight was at 218 which is down ½ pound from my check up last week. Doctor Casavant wanted to know is she was moving. I had to laugh. She’s moving now more than every. I would think she’s running out of room in there, but that doesn’t seem to bother her one bit. I have been feeling a lot of pressure and a few more contractions, but nothing noteworthy. I am now 3 centimeters dilated, but still high and still thick. At least that’s progress from last week; I was two cm. I talked to Esteban about being induced, but he also feels we should just wait to see if she comes on her own. I’m glad ‘cause it seems easy to say, oh what the heck! Let’s induce. I would feel like I was picking her birth date and I don’t want to do that unless I have to. So now we are back to waiting. Both of her aunts will be here to help on April 12th, the day before my birthday. I hope she’s arrived by then.
