The Birthday Party

I loved combining Jayden and Maya's birthday parties together. It was great. It was a beautiful day and the kids were excited since the night before. They were taken by the cake decorating and when they discovered me putting up the streamers, they could barely go to bed. They kept exclaiming, "Wow! Wow!". I thought that was humorous. That's what Wubbzy would say.

Here are my kiddos watching their bouncehouse blow up. This was a totally last minute fluke. I didn't think the kids would go for the bouncehouse, but after watching them Easter weekend, I knew they would love it.
Tah-dah!

The cake... I couldn't make myself draw Wubbzy, so I went with this idea. It was simple, but cute. I was happy I could find all four characters. Wubbzy, Widget, Waldon, and Daisy...
Chooch had some bouncehouse fun!
I couldn't believe Jayden's cheeks could get so red for so long...
Sebi, Gabby, and Maya
Jennifer and Aidan in the forefront and Nicole and Billy in the background. And, I can see Kaylie in the background too.
Justin, Kaylie, Nicole, and Ivy
The kids were very excited when they blew out the candles, even though they were trick candles and they kept re-lighting.

Maya decided she didn't need a spoon. Her mouth was enough.
So cute!
Juan and Cathy
We didn't open presents that day. We wanted the kids to focus on their guests and having fun, not so much on presents. We opened them the next day. Here are some of my favorite shots.

After he opened this gift Jayden said, "Can I be a doctor now?"
This cracked me up!
Jayden was actually airborne!
Maya takes a turn too!
Very quiet... Doodle time...
Maya looks so cute in this picture!

Day at the Beach

Before we got the bad news about Esteban's mother, we had planned on going to the beach. So when he got back, he suggested a trip. The weather had been beautiful all week and it turned out to be a fabulous day.

This was Maya's first visit to the beach and Jayden probably doesn't remember his first time. We went to Bradenton Beach which is a little further out for us, but so worth it. It was absolutely stunning!

Maya waves hello.
It's so fun to watch the kids chase after seagulls.
There goes Jayden. He doesn't give up.
Since he couldn't make a snow angel, he settled for a sand angel.
My cutie pies...

A Few Pictures of our Family in Honduras

Esteban came back with a camera full of pictures and mini videos. So, I've been a very busy girl. Most of what I've been looking at and editing was pretty heavy material, but these are a few snapshots that made me smile instead of cry.

I thought this was a very beautiful picture of Esteban's mother at her wedding.

Here's the proud papa with his boys. Unfortunately, his daughter was unable to attend the funeral, but I feel better that atleast he had his boys there with him.
This is Esteban's grandmother. She is a very strong lady. I admire her courage and faith. She is a warrior for God and someone to look up to.
Here is Esteban with his brother Jerry.
Here is Esteban's mother's house. I'm fond of this home. Everything about it makes me smile. Esteban's mother loved plants and flowers and she had plenty of them.
Esteban's son, Ricardito, at the front door...
Here is Antony. He's a cutie pie. He spoke to me every time Esteban called home. He is very loveable and friendly. I worry about him the most now that Esteban's mother is no longer with us. He was very attached to her and often slept with her.
Esteban and his boys... I like to call this picture "Travelling in Style".

Yummy...
At the beach...
I love this picture. The river emties into the ocean just behind the palm tree on the right.
My handsome boys...
I think this is hilarious. Esteban said my stepson wanted him to take pictures of his room so that I could see how clean he kept it.
He asked Esteban to take pictures of the laundry after he was finished. I guess he wants me to see how helpful he is around the house. I couldn't help but smile. These pictures really warmed my heart.

Pictures...

The library took a week off of Toddler Time for Spring Break so Jayden jumped on a computer instead. He had a great handle on the mouse. I was so proud of him, matching up the fruits and veggies with their shapes.
Concentrating...

The trip to the library took everything out of Maya...
Jayden practices his lines. They are pretty wobbly, but practice will eventually make perfect.
He does pretty well with his shapes.
Jayden talks to daddy on the phone.
Maya's turn.
After church, I took the kids to the park for a picnic. We had lunch and then played. I love this picture of Maya.
Beautiful smile.
It really was a gorgeous day!
Weeeeeeeee!
