We started work on the insulation. So far, so good. The empty spot in the middle there is where our new window will go. Very excited about that!
We haven't gotten as far on the other side. We have to wait for the electrical work to get done first. You can see three electrical boxes towards the bottom for the electric and the cable.

Roy's comment: I'm sure you all already know this but, just in case...you want to make sure that you hang the drywall a 1/2 in. above the concrete so that if there is ever water, it won't wick up into the drywall. Most people use the 1- inch high block furring strips to lay on the concrete. Use a level to raise one side or the other of the drywall(which ever side is not level).
Are you all going to be doing the taping, mudding & floating out? If you need a bid Roy has a friend that does this full-time. He actually lives on our street and Roy has used him on many jobs. He does excellent work.
If you have any questions or need any assistance give Roy a call 407-619-8891.
You guys are doing awesome...it looks great!!! :)
Thanks for the tip. We took that into account when we framed the space and we plan to do the same when we drywall. So exciting to see everything fall into place. Now if that darn envelope would reach the embassy, we'd be in business! LOL
